Dane Architectural Systems are pleased to announce we achieved certification under the Achilles Carbon Reduce scheme and have subsequently received our certification to ISO 14064 part 1
Previously this certification has was targeted wards larger multi-national organisations, and Dane are one of the first SME companies in our market to obtain this certification and committing our business to reduce its carbon emissions year on year.
This is achieved through eManage software which allows us to record and monitor the embodied CO2e in energy used in the fabrication and delivery of our products including all business travel. This way we can see where the largest emissions are being created and set realistic targets and KPI’s for improvements and reductions.
These figures are subsequently audited each year by Achilles allowing us to make “Verified Carbon Reduction Claims” regarding the actual carbon footprint of the whole business which can also be broken down as required for individual projects.
Therefore, we can present these figures with confidence to all clients, stakeholder groups and regulators giving Dane Architectural Systems a positive sustainability footprint when tendering future projects
The next phase will be for Dane to review our supply chain and procured products and wherever possible push this sustainability programme down to those key/critical suppliers.
