This years Dane Charity Bike ride was a three day cycle. The first day was from Dane headquarters at Hamsterley to Hawick in the Scottish borders (77 miles). Day two was from Hawick to Rothbury with a loop up to Coldstream along the way to make it more of a challenge (77 miles). Day three was from Rothbury back to Hamsterley (44 miles). Making a total of 198 miles. Most of the riders did over 200 miles with some wrong turns and diversions along the way. Well done to all those who took part.
This year sponsorship was split between two charities, namely Durham Area Disability Leisure Group and The Gary Otto Foundation for the Maggie’s Centre @ The Freeman Hospital.
Over the years Dane has raised over £20,000 for charities with the annual Dane bike ride, a fantastic achievement.
